Professor Ian Hutchinson

Plasma Physicist and Professor of Nuclear Science & Engineering at MIT. Born in England, educated at Cambridge University, and received his doctorate from Australian National University. Prof. Hutchinson is the author of a recently-published book “Can a Scientist Believe in Miracles?: An MIT Professor Answers Questions on God and Science”

 

Professor Henry F. (Fritz) Schaefer

Professor of Chemistry, Emeritus, University of California at Berkeley. Currently the Professor of Chemistry and Director of the Center for Computational Chemistry at the University of Georgia. Graduate of MIT and received his doctorate in chemical physics from Stanford University. Dr. Schaefer was a multiple nominee for the Nobel Prize in Chemistry (U.S. News and World Report).

Professor Poh Lian Lim

Featuring Associate Professor Poh-Lian Lim, MD, MPH. She is an infectious disease doctor at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases, and teaches medicine and public health in Singapore. Born in Malaysia, Dr Lim studied biochemistry at Harvard, medicine at Columbia and public health at Tulane. She spent a decade on HIV clinical research in Asia, worked on the frontlines of the SARS outbreak, and has been active on WHO and UN taskforces for global outbreak response. She has a keen interest in travel medicine, vaccines and biothreats, and heads the High Level Isolation Unit in Singapore. She is mother to 4 children, including a recently-adopted son with special needs. Their story is told in a 2018 documentary, “Bringing Keyuan Home.”
